FRIENDS

This blog has died. Nia and I are planning on reviving it soon. This is an update on just recent news. Nia is actually leaving on a plane tomorrow to Jakarta, Indonesia. Her flight is in the moring. I'M GOING TO MISS YOU SO MUCH! We're hoping to continue this blog as a way to keep in touch and to just finish what we started. This isn't the end, it is just the beginning of the NIA&&CAROLINE adventures.

To Nia:
You're an amazing friend. Like you said this is not the end. We will definitely see eachother again soon. We must keep in touch and hopefully we can go to Korea together once high school is over. Thank you for everything, literally EVERYTHING.

ROMeo

If you didn't know already. SHINee is BACK with their new mini-album called Romeo. The MV for their single called Juliette already released in May. Their first comeback on Music Bank was yesterday (090605), they won #1 for their song Juliette!!! Congratulations!

I personally love their new hairstyles and this song is now eternally replaying on my iTunes. One of the things I love about their single Juliette is that it some what reminds me of their other song called Love like Oxyen. As usual I love their vibrant colors and I finally get to hear TaeMin's vocals in Juliette! They all seem to get more indiviual parts in this album. I'm not sure if this is true but I heard JongHyun actually wrote this particular song himself! Plus the choreography is amazing! I just wished that for the performance on Music Bank, TaeMin, JongHyun, & Key didn't have the tassle hem on their wardrobe. It's quite distracting and doesn't really add to their image. Oh, and is it just me or did TaeMin grow...ALOT?

Watch their performance on Music Bank here!

the hills - lauren conrad = the hills + kristin cavallari

the hills with kristin cavallari. uh.. no.

so today i just caught up with the MTV show The Hills (season 5), and i love it. well, i've always liked the show but just never have time to keep up with it when it airs. so after catching up with the most recent episode (season finale) i found out that lauren conrad was LEAVING THE SHOW. and, kristin cavallari is joining the show. i was shocked. well, heidi hinted on the "unexpected guest" by asking her sister whether she's sent her wedding invitation to the "person we talked about." fishy, eh? well, then kristin showed up at the wedding. and of course she had to match with lauren. but yeah. not cool.

cavallari is not compatible with lauren. and i just can't believe lauren is leaving. she's been with us since laguna beach to the hills (5 seasons). that's a very long time. *sigh*

nonetheless, i loved the hills' season 6 trailer; it said "the bitch is back" and showed clips with kristin screaming "you're messing with the wrong person dude." lovely. well, i guess the hills will have a new girl in town (not a new lauren).

you guys can watch full episodes of the hills at:

and watch lauren saying goodbye at:

BYE LAUREEENNNNNN! i love you.

those who aren't so perfect.

hi guys.

so my home page for my internet is MSN.com and when opened my browser today, i encountered this:

Teen gets perfect score on SAT
Teen gets perfect score on SAT

congrats.

but lets not forget about the others, like me. sometimes i feel that you need to be "privileged" to get into your dream school. by privilege, i mean rich or money-ed. when your parents have the money, they can provide you with everything you need to get that score. SAT preps, music/dance lessons, summer camps/classes, and other activities that will put flowers on your college app; in addition to actually afford the $50,000 annual tuition. which is kind of unfair.

to get the perfect score, you also need to give up your social life, unless you're naturally a genius, which not all of us are. you need to constantly study, study, and study, and forget everything else. which is a big challenge for a lot of us. i can never sacrifice my "life" and continuously study, just to get the score, which resulted in a not-so-great score on my recent SAT.

for me, SATs not only test my knowledge on the subject, but also how far and how much effort i'm willing to put to get my dream score, the perfect score. it asseses the worth of getting my desired score and how much it means to me. this requires my brain power, mental strength, and emotional fortitude. moreover, i need to give up my social life for a couple of months.

the point: not easy.

regardless, this video proves that it is actually possible to get a perfect score on your SATs. which should awaken our spirits (or not). like the video showed, the girl worked hard. which got her her score.

i just stopped writing and watched the hills, so i kind of lost my mojo for writing about SATs.

SO, i guess today's lesson is simply putting your greattest effort to achieve what you aspire for. (this sounds corny and seems incosistent with my complaint about sacrificing my life for good SAT score, but oh well).

i'll continue watching the hills now.

no school!!!

No school today. Why? I have no clue, but who cares!
Some recent news would be that KevJumba, David Choi, and other YouTubers were in New York City yesterday on 10th Avenue and 16th Street from 8-11PM. Due to that movie project I was talking about earlier, I was not able to go. EPIC FAIL. Hopefully they'll be back again.

Edit:
I just found out that all the footage that my group took yesterday for the movie project got deleted (somehow) so now I have to go back to school and film. That's just great. I think I'll have to change the title of this post to The One at school on a no school day.

Here are a few pictures from the Epik High concert in New York.

The tickets.

Let's kiss, uh, nevermind.

The "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" twist that Kristen Steward put at the almost-kiss with Pattinson was ... lame. first of all, who doesn't want to kiss pattinson? he is now the "most desired man on earth," as OK! magazine put it. i mean, you should be kissing him all over, especially after winning the Best Kiss (at the MTV Movie Awards), the whole point was to see you guys kissing passionately infront of us, like the mcadams-gosling kiss at the 2005 MTV Movie Awards. but i suppose because she's not alone, she's excused. well, lets just see the bright side: pattinson is still available.

movie project?

Here's the deal, I have a movie project that's due by the end of this week for the last quarter of the marking period and my group has not even finished filming all of it. So I'm sitting here in the computer lab frustrated typing away. Even though my school is known for giving a lot of group work/projects...is a movie project for math really necessary?
The assignment is to create a movie that also incorporates our study of limits. So before filming we had to deliver a pitch to sell the movie to our teacher, then a script that could fill up a good 10 minutes of film, and finally the actually movie. This project has been ongoing for months now even after covering limits in class.
What's more ridiculous is the fact that my group decided to do a remake of High School Musical 3 except incorporating the topic of limits through songs. I'm not even sure how that's going to work but all I can think about is my grade and dignity going down the drain.
In addition to this "wonderful" project there will be an assembly for the whole grade to see our all our movies. Fantastic.
